The KPK Government recently issued a notice regarding the Disparity Reduction Allowance (DRA) for the Civil employees. The govt has approved the 15% Disparity Reduction Allowance of the Basic pay scales 2017 for the employees. However, the announced DRA allowance is for the BPS 01-19 KPK government employees. Thus, those KPK Govt employees who never get any additional allowance, allowances equal to/more than 100% of basic pay, and performance allowances are eligible for the DRA. However, the KP Government announced the DRA allowance with the effect of 01 March 2022.
Conditions for 15% DRA 2022
The KPK government mentioned the conditions for the eligibility for a 15% Disparity Reduction Allowance (DRA) 2022.
- Departmental/organizational employees receiving additional allowances, performances allowances, or equal/more than 100% of basic pay allowances are not eligible.
- Income tax will be subject to the DRA allowance.
- DRA Allowance 2022 will be frozen at the level drawn on 01 March 2022.
- Govt servants will get DRA allowance 2022 during Leaves and LPR complete period except during the extraordinary leave.
- Govt will not treat DRA 2022 as a part of emoluments for calculating pensions/gratuity and House Rent Recovery.
- Disparity Reduction allowance (DRA) will be admissible to employees during their posting tenure or deputation abroad.
- DRA will be admissible during the suspension period.
- The term “Basic pay” will also include the personal pay amount granted on account of annual increments.
