Pakistan First Academic program in Cryptocurrency
Recently, Lahore University of Management Sciences is going to start an excellent initiative in the Cryptocurrency field. The LUMS decided to launch the Academic Program in Cryptocurrency and anchored around Rs 670 Million for this. Thus, through this, the university will design academic programs for Distributed Ledger Technology (DLG), Blockchain, and associated platforms.
Regarding this, one of the alumni of LUMS also tweeted about this topic. He stated that “we will make a $2.5 M worth of Cryptocurrency donation to enable a Bitcoin and crypto research centers in South Asia at Lums.” however, the purpose of this initiative is to focus on the emerging area where one will be able to apply these technologies for better results.
Other than that, LUMS alumni also appreciated this initiative a lot and said it would help Pakistan a lot. However, other than academic programs, LUMS also wants to advocate the Crypto Regulations in Pakistan soon. Thus, to see the complete official announcement, click here.
