Mines Labor welfare commissioner scholarship Program
Mines labor welfare commissioner, Government of Punjab has announced scholarships 2020 for the children of Miners. This scholarship is announced for the welfare of kids of miners, working in mines extracting coal and other minerals from the rocks. This scholarship is for the students enrolled in Primary classes to Masters’s degree program.
Eligible students can submit their applications. Selected students will get a yearly scholarship from the Mines Labour welfare commissioner office located in different cities across Pakistan. A maximum of two children per family can apply for the scholarship before the due date.

Eligibility criteria
- The miner needs to fulfill the definition of worker that is mentioned in the mining industrial and commercial employment ordinance 1968, registered with EOBI. The miner should be an employee therefrom at least 3 years.
- Employees of category 1, 2, and 3 are from the requirement of employment duration.
- The employees not registered with EOBI need to submit an Affidavit by Notary Public and respective assistant Mines Labor welfare commissioner with their required complete data.
- Disable/deceased workers are also eligible to apply for the scholarship of their children.
- Scholarships are not available for the students, schooling in Mines Labour organizations, or Punjab worker’s welfare board’s schools.
- Scholarship holders of the worker welfare board are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
- Students of nursery and prep classes are also eligible to apply.
- Children of retired pension holders from the EOBI can apply for this scholarship.

Applying procedure
Applying procedure is explained below:
- Application forms are available at Mines Labor welfare offices in Multan, Chakwal, D.G Khan, Sargodha, Rawalpindi, and Khushab. Get the application form and fill it.
- Attach the following documents with the application form:
- Miners CNIC
- Student’s CNIC or B-form issued by NADRA.
- An attested copy of the appointment letter of the worker.
- Social Security Card/Old Age Benefit Card of the miner or worker.
- If the worker is disabled or deceased, proof of receiving a Death Grant or Disability Pension needs to be submitted.
- After completing the application, submit it to their respective office.
- The application form submitted after the due date will not be considered.
The end date of submitting the application form is 30 November 2020.
Yearly scholarships
Details of yearly scholarship for the students is as follow:
- Class 1 to 5: Rs: 1,200/-
- Grade 6 to 8: Rs: 15,000/-
- Class 9-10: Rs: 18,000/-
- Class 11-12: Rs: 24,000/-
- Graduate: BA/BSc/B.Com (14 years) – Day Scholars: Rs: 30,000/-
- Graduate: BA/Bsc/B.Com (14 years) – Boarders: Rs: 40,000/-
- PostGraduate/Masters/BS/BBA/Medical/Engineering – Day Scholars: Rs: 60,000/-
- PostGraduate/Masters/BS/BBA/Medical/Engineering – Borders: Rs: 80,000/-
