HEC Four Year Degree Policy
On Wednesday, the delegation of the Karachi University Teachers Society (KUTS) met with the MQM party. KUTS staged a protest against the HEC‘s new policy to abolish two-year degrees of bachelor’s and master’s. Dr. Shah Ali-ul-Qadir was the head of the delegation who met with the MQM convener.
During the meeting, KUTS stated that the decision of HEC is not good for the student’s future. This decision will affect more than 100,000 students. Thus, they said that the HEC must take back its decision to phase out the two-year degrees. They also said that a lot of students can’t complete four-year degree programs.
Thus, after listening to the KUTS delegation, MQM assured that they will raise this problem on every possible platform. However, other than this, various universities in Sindh are also against this decision of HEC.
