On 28th May 2021, Muraad Raas made a special announcement while talking to the reporters regarding the new department. One of the reporters raised the question regarding reopening of schools. Muraad Raas stated that schools are going to open on 7th June. Students will now start their preparation. He also decided to reduce summer holidays this year as per the latest academic plan of the provincial government. However, the provincial Minister of Health, Dr. Yasmin Rashid also stood with Murad Raas decision.
In a recent press conference, Murad Raas stated that summer vacations will last for a maximum of 21 days. Apart from this, the Federal Government Teachers Association (FGTA) had demanded that teachers be granted the facility of walk-in COVID-19 vaccinations on the basis of service cards.
