After reviewing the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, the provincial school education and literacy department (SELD) decided to conduct a steering committee held on Saturday (April 6, 2021). Many of the representatives are going to become a part of this committee like stockholders, including private schools associations, SELD officials and education experts. As per details, sources said that members order to open schools until the provincial task force on coronavirus prepared its final report for the next meeting of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).
Other than that, Sindh Education Minister also holds meetings with the Provincial Steering committee. However, after meeting they finalized to shut down schools from grade 1 to 8 till 21st April 2021. However, adult students from Grade 9 to 12 should attend their class according to the schedule.
The Federal Education Minister is now going to conduct a meeting with the Health Minister tomorrow. In that meeting, they will decide whether to open educational institutes or further closed. No matter what they decide, it is the collective decision of the country’s health and education authorities and NCOC too.
