There will be no board exams of 8th, 9th and 1st-year class anymore. Yes, you heard it right. A few days ago, the Federal Minister of Education Shafqat Mehmood announced that there would be no board exams of the classes mentioned above.
The conventional method of some 15-20 years before conducting the examinations is going to be applied again. In those times, the exams of 9th and 10th class and the exams of 11th and 12th class were not conducted separately like they are conducted independently today. But again that method is going to be applied from the year 2020.

Federal Minister announced this ruling following the Conference of Ministers of Inter-Provisional Education. Minister of Federal Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mehmood presided the 14th Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference.
The meeting was attended by the ministers of all provinces including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir. The decision was taken collectively that there will only be three board exams, i.e. 8th class, 10th class and 2nd year. The board exams of class 5 were already negated.
The reason behind taking this decision is to implement the same education country country-wide. The KPK boards announced the results in August while other boards announced in September this year. This imbalance schedule of all BISEs causes problems for the students to get admission in universities.

What do you think of this step taken by the ministry of education? Don’t you think this would be a burden on students to take the exams of two years at once? Comment down your thoughts under this post. We would love to hear from you.

Those who are repeating what they will do ??
Hey Bushra!
The policy will be applied from 2020. So the repeating students will go according to the previous strategy.
Thank You!
i think the burden at once is not ok for the students. Some students want to learn speaking english in their teen age(1st to 8th).appeal to you to cancel it forever and change this to 9th once again.May you live long forever
Hey Ateeq Khan!
Your concern is valuable. However, the decision is taken by the Government. Let’s see if this strategy works or not.
Thank You!
