According to the details, the government of Punjab issued a new policy for overseas travel. Now after the decision, the Punjab Government decided to offer admissions to overseas Pakistani in all public sector universities in Punjab on a priority basis and will get up to 20% fee concession. To resolve this issue, Vice-Chairperson (VC) Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission (POPC) Waseem Akhtar and Punjab’s Minister for Higher Education Raja Yasir Humayun chaired a meeting to conclude the decision of this issue. However, the VC POPC ordered to resolve this issue as soon as possible
Apart from this, the Vice Chancellor of POPC apprised the Minister of the steps taken for overseas Pakistani students under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar. He said that CM Punjab had constituted a committee led by the Additional Chief Secretary to recognize the services of overseas Pakistanis and ensure their due representation in all departments of Punjab.
