According to the recent notification, the government announced that all matric and intermediate students pass. However, all Pakistan Private Schools Federation (APPSF) totally disagree with this decision. They oppose the government decision to pass all SSC and HSSC students who attempted the examination this year. Kashif Mirza, the President of the Federation said that the decision is an insult to deserving and competent students. Not only this, they also opposes on the idea of starting academic sessions in August instead of March.
On Monday, the government decided to award 33 percent marks to those students who fail in any subject. This decision took place during the 32nd Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC) on Monday. Besides allotting passing marks to failing students, the government also decided to conduct matric and intermediate exams twice a year. It is also pertinent to mention that next year the annual board exams of matric will be held in May and June, while the intermediate exams would be held in October and November. Also, the new academic session will start from August 22 and there will no change in the A and O level exams
