There is news surrounding on internet of extension in Winter Vacations 2022-23 for one week. The Government of Punjab announced the closure of Public and Private Schools and Colleges upto 8th January 2023 instead of 2nd January 2023 as decided previously. The decision was taken due to extreme weather conditions across Punjab province.
But nowadays, the weather is getting even more colder than it was in December 2022. We are experiencing more fog and cold wind than before. So, keeping in mind the cold weather and health of students, the Punjab Education Department can increase the Winter Vacations again for one week. Because safety of students is always a priority of the Government. But keep in mind, it is just a rumor, nothing is finalised or announced from the organization itself. If this rumor came out true then the Punjab Government will reopen the schools and colleges on 15th January 2023 after extending vacations for at least a week.
