According to the recent tweet of Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas, the government has extended the 2021-22 academic year duration. According to the notification, the academic year 2021-22 has been extended till June 2022. Thus, the government will conduct the annual exams in 2022 June.
However, Murad Rass also gave the reason to extended the academic year. He stated that the extension in the academic year 2021-22 is due to the strict closure of institutes because of COVID-19 Lockdown.
After the lockdown, all education institutes have opened on 16 September 2021 in a staggered manner. During the announcement, the Federal education minister stated that all province would complete their entire syllabus this year instead of the reduced syllabus. However, he also instructed educational ministers to ensure that the syllabus must complete by April/May 2022.
