Punjab Government Latest Notification
On 05 January 2021, the government issued the latest notification regarding reopening of schools. The Punjab Educational Minister Murad Raad also tweeted the same news. In the notification, the government also stated about the Exam Schedule 2021. According to the statement, the government decided on these in the 25th meeting. However, IPEM held the meeting with the NCOC and Health ministry.
Phases Reopening of Schools
According to the notification, the educational institutes will reopen into phases. However, the following dates are tentative.
- From 11 January 2021, the school will reopen only for teachers and staff. They will prepare the arrangements for academic work and also see the implementation of SOPs.
- On 18 January 2021, 9th-12th grade students will come.
- From 25 January 2021, the school will open for grade 1-8.
- From 01 February 2021, all higher education institutes will reopen.
Remember that these dates are tentative. The government will implement this notification with the regular review of COVID-19 situation.
Exams Schedule 2021
In the meeting, the members also made decisions about the exam schedule 2021. So, all educational boards agreed to conduct exams in May and early June 2021.
