On Friday, the joint meeting of the Steering Committee and Advisory Board of Kamyab Pakistan Program (KPP) at the Finance Division was held. Mr. Shaukat Tarin conducted this meeting to discuss some important things regarding Kamyab Pakistan Program. After getting suggestions from other team members, they concluded to extend the guarantee to wholesale banks up to 50 percent on a risk-sharing basis. This will ensure transparency and due diligence in evaluating the performance of Wholesale Lenders with reference to the disbursement of funds. Other than that, they also talk about the other feature i.e.the formation of the KPP Portal called Kamyab Pakistan Information System (KPIS).
Now, the Government designed to transform the lives of the marginalized segments of the society and ensure their financial empowerment. The first program where the Banks connected to the lowest income segment through microfinance institutions. For KPP, firstly government will cover the poorest of the poor areas like KPK, Balochistan, Punjab, Sindh and Gilgit Baltistan
