According to the details, the Punjab Textbook board announced to make Nazra Quran studies compulsory and taught in all schools. The Punjab government ordered 50% marks in the Nazra Quran. According to the details, three periods a week for the first to third grades and four periods a week for the fourth and fifth grades. The Punjab Assembly got the suggestion from another senior representative. They made several changes to implement the Nazra Quran subject in schools.
Other than that, Punjab Text Board has also released the syllabus of the Nazra Quran. The PCTB’s letter states that the teaching of Qur’anic recitation is compulsory from the first to the fifth grade. Being Muslims, we should add the subject of the Nazra Quran so that our child will understand Islamic values. According to the syllabus, they taught Noorani Qaeda to first class and the last four surahs of the Holy Quran. Also, the school taught the first and second Sapara to 1st class.
However, they taught the third to eighth Sapara to the class third. The fourth class will teach from 9 to 18 Samaras. The fifth class teaches from 19 to 30 Samaras. The schools should conduct three recitation periods from first to third grade and four periods from fourth to fifth grade.
For classes six to 12th, the syllabus of the Nazra Quran will be announced soon. All private and public educational institutions should follow this new policy.
