Due to the severe cold wave in Punjab, the School Education Department may increase the winter vacations all over Punjab. In this regard, the Chief Minister of Punjab conducts a meeting on 8th January 2024. The holidays will likely be extended up to 8th class. The above classes will be opened by altering the timing. Firstly, the Punjab government has announced holidays in all the public and private sector schools of classes from nursery to eighth till January 8. Schools from classes nursery to 8th can now open from Monday, January 8. Currently, schools have been closed till January 8, whereas due to January 7 being a Sunday, all schools will remain closed. Till then, the official notification will not announced yet. We will notify you soon after receiving any notification from the SED Punjab. Till then, students must keep patience and wait for the final decision.

The timing of all the schools from 9th to 12th has been changed. Now schools from class 9th to 12th can be operated only from 10 am to 3 pm.
