The government of Punjab issued a notification regarding the public holidays in connection with Ashura; according to the latest notification, we notify all Punjab employees that the 28th and 29th of July 2023 as public holidays to celebrate Ashura on the 9th and 10th of Muharram ul Haraam. All private and public institutions will remain closed on these days. The government issued this notification to all concerned departments. There will be no activity on these two days. The martyrdom of Imam Hussain R.A. is the most known incident in history. This tragic incident happened on the 9th and 10th of Muharram. Their family faced the most difficult time of their lives. Also, there might be chances that there is no mobile phone service in these 02 days.
