Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board issued a letter about teaching the Quran as a compulsory subject in all classes. So in Punjab, Quran teaching is mandatory for all Muslim students studying in private or public institutes. According to the notification, the Punjab Governmnet announced the Quran subjects as a separate compulsory subject, and passing the subject is mandatory for all Muslim students.
Thus, PTCB approved the NAZRA Quran in Grades I-V and the Translation of the Holy Quran for the Grade VI-XII. As Punjab Governmnet announced the Quran as a separate compulsory subject, the government announced passing marks that students must secure.
So, below is the class-wise detail about the Quran period for each class in a week and passing marks.

However, the Punjab Curriculum & Textbook Board (PCTB) has uploaded the Quran subject scheme and curriculum for all classes on the website. The PCTB also notified that some books on the Quran were published in the academic year 2022-23. However, the Grade X and XII textbooks will also be available in 2023-24.
