The School Education Department issued a latest notification regarding the schools across Punjab. According to the notification, it is to notify you all that the SED is going to impose an educational emergency in all Punjab Schools. The purpose of imposing educational emergency is because of the child labor, as it is increasing rapidly. At the beginning of the new academic year, education will introduce in schools by imposing an educational emergency. Parents who do not admit their children to schools will pay a heavy fine of Rs 50,000 or imprisoned for 6 months.
In the last year, the education system was completely destroyed because of the worse COVID-19 conditions. The entire education system converted to online mode due to which students are unable to attend the classes. Therefore, this year the government ordered all parents to admit their kids to school. SED made it mandatory for all boys and girls of Punjab up to the age of 16 to admit in the school
President Punjab Scholars Union, Akram Sial said that implementation of educational emergency is an important need of the hour. This is the only solution to increase the literacy rate in Pakistan. However, the government should fix a monthly stipend for poor children. He also stated that the decision of the SED to impose an educational emergency will be a good sign for the educational sector.
