On 29th March 2021, Federal Education Minister, Shafqat Mehmood received a letter from Christine Ozden, CEO Cambridge. According to the details, Christine Ozden decided and requested Shafqat Mehmood to hold O level and IGCSE exams from May 10. Earlier, the O level and IGCSE exams are scheduled to conduct on 15 May. but after discussion, they finalize to conduct exams on 10th May 2021 at the request of the Cambridge International Examination (CIE). Shafqat Mehmood also shared the screenshot of the letter received from Christine Ozden.
However, after this letter, the Federal Education Minister consulted with other provinces/stakeholders. Hence, they agreed. Now O level/IGCSE will commence from May 10,” announced the minister. In 2020, O level and IGCSE exams scheduled to commence on April 26, 2020. But this year, due to pandemic COVID-19, they decided to conduct exams on 10th May instead of 15th May 2021
