In a recent press release, the government of Sindh issued the notification regarding the requirements in college admissions. According to the details, the Director general of colleges in Sindh, Rashid Ahmed Mahar, said that students not required to submit domicile certificates at the time of admissions. The Sindh government changed the admission policy by providing their B-form or a copy of their fathers’ computerized national identity cards. During admission, there is no need to submit a copy of domicile. However the domicile certificate will only required at the time of enrolment.
The students who faced difficulty in getting admissions in colleges and universities will now no longer need a domicile, especially the students who passed their exams from the Board of Secondary Education. The directorate of colleges has decided to accommodate students with E grade at colleges where the admission rate was low. At present, around 67 colleges are offering admissions to students who have passed their exams with E grade
