On 18 August 2020, Education Minister Punjab Murad Raas stated about opening the schools. He said the government is thinking of reopening the schools from 15 September. We are also in contact with private schools. In this regard, Murad Raas held a meeting with private owners. In the meeting, they discussed the SOPs. Education Minister Punjab also asked them to give the written suggestion or feedback until 25 August.
Conditions
He said that it is not confirmed yet to reopen the schools from 15 September 2020. If it does, then the following terms have to follow:
- The students of grade I to Grade IV would not be allowed to come.
- Only the students of grade V- Grade X students will come to schools
- If a school have many students, then half students would be called on one day while others on the next day
He said that the safety of children and teachers is our priority. The government will allow reopening the schools only if all things will go according to the SOPs.
According to the news, the government will conduct a press conference in the first week of September. At the meeting, the government will make a final decision regarding opening the schools.
