Tianjin University, China, is now seeking the applications for the scholarships for the year 2020. Tianjin University has initiated the program of scholarship under the China Scholarship Council for international students since 2008.
Tianjin University Scholarship, 2020:
The scholarship is designed for students who want to pursue a Master’s and PhD degrees from China. The duration for these Masters and PhD degrees varies depending upon the language chosen. The duration of Supporting Categories and Scholarship duration is given below:

Eligibility:
- The applicant must be a citizen of any country other than China.
- The applicant must be in good health.
Applicants Degree and Age:
- The students applying for a Master’s degree should have a Bachelor Diploma and should be under the age of 35 years.
- The students applying for a PhD degree should have a Master’s Diploma and should be under the age of 40 years.
Language Proficiency Test:
- For Chinese taught programs, the applicants must submit the HSK certificate and the minimum HSK score requirement is as follows:
- For Engineering: HSK4 (Score 195 or above)
- For Business and Liberal Arts: HSK5 (Score 180 or above)
- For English teaching programs, the applicants must submit TOFEL or IELTS certificate and the minimum score requirement is as follows:
- TOFEL: no less than 80
- IELTS: no less than 6.0
- The applicant should have good behaviour, sound physical and mental health, and be willing to comply with Chinese and Tianjin University laws and regulations.

- 3000 RMB per month for Master students
- 3500 RMB per month for PhD students

- Applications will complete the online application form via tju.at0086.cn/student.
- Then they will upload the application documents.
Required Documents:
- Photocopy of passport
- Notarial photocopy of highest diploma
- Notarial photocopy of academic transcript
- Two recommendation letters from the professor and associate professor
- Study or research plan of maximum word count 800
- Photocopy of foreign physical examination
- A 5-minute self-introductory video in Chinese or English

TJU Review and Interview:
March 16, 2020, to June 1, 2020

July 1 to July 31
