University of the Punjab PU online Classes
University of the Punjab PU Lahore has decided to continue the web classes during vacations, and summer vacations are announced as per the schedule of the university. All students of Punjab University must attend online classes.
The teacher will take attendance during the online classes. However, genuine cases of the scholars who are unable to attend online classes, are offered compensatory classes when academic activities begin.

PU Lahore issued a notification today which reads as follows:
As per guidelines of HEC, PHEC and so the recommendations made by Deans of the schools and Head of the departments on April 2, 2020, the administrator (expecting approval of the relevant bodies Academic Council and Syndicate) has been pleased to approve the subsequent recommendations only in Coronavirus period to attenuate the time of the students.
- The online classes are mandatory and can continue as per the time-table issued by the relevant College/ Institute/Center/ Department. The students should be given the syllabi of the topics and related books on a top priority basis.
- Course materials and recorded lectures should be mailed/ emailed/ uploaded through the relevant software to maximize the training outcome of the scholars.
- The decision about assessment/examination (Mid/ Final or Comprehensive exam) of theoretical subjects is decided at an appropriate time when true is normalized.
- However, the assignments with a maximum of 30% weightage will be given to scholars during online classes.
- Lab work/Practical sessions with relevant module together with its exam is conducted when right is normalized.
- Genuine problems with those students who are unable to attend online classes, at all, are offered on campus compensatory classes/summer camp or additional credits during the regular semester when true is normalized.
- All teachers, including visiting faculty, are requested to stay their record of attendance.
- The Oceans/HoDs are requested to make sure of the regularity of the web classes.
- Summer vacations are announced as per the university schedule.
