Applications for the Young Scientists Fellowship Program (YSFP) have opened. TSFP is an initiative of the Mustafa Science and Technology Foundation (MSTF) that offers programs in different areas for students and young researchers in the Islamic world. In Pakistan, the foundation offers the fellowship in collaboration with COMSTECH and NUST (National University of Science & Technology).
According to the detailed duration of this program, five fellowships will be offered to young scientists from the Islamic world at NUST Islamabad. However, the announced fellowship will be under the supervision of NUST Faculty in the following institutes.
- School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
- Atta-Ur-Rehman School of Applied Biosciences
- School of Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering

For the Young Scientists Fellowship Program, the priority areas for the research will be the following.
- ICT
- Health
- Biotechnology
Eligibility Criteria for YSFP 2022
The required criteria for the Young Scientists Fellowship Program are divided into three general sections.
- Individual Criteria, Research Proposal Criteria, and Priorities
The overall score for these three eligibility criteria sections will be 100. So, 50 scores will be for individual criteria, 30 points for research proposal, and 20 for priorities criteria.
- Applicants under 45 years are eligible for the YSFP 2022
