Join Pak Army as Captain 2020 Through Direct Short Service Commission

Pak Army has launched a short course for the people who wish to join the army as a captain. The candidates will join the Army through the Direct Short Service Commission. The course selection procedure will start from May 2020. The candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria are welcomed to apply.

Below are the eligibility criteria, ineligibility, and the application procedure explained.

Common Features:

• At least 60% marks in annual system or 2.5 CGPA in Science subjects and 50% marks or 2.0 CGPA in Arts subjects from HEC recognized university as a regular student.
• The candidate must have a minimum CGPA of 2 out of 4 or 50% marks in the annual system for Psychology.
• No 3rd Division throughout the academic year, i.e. Matric to MA/MSc/BS.
• PhD will be given preference.
• Applicants only qualified from HEC recognized universities or international universities recognized by HEC are eligible to apply.
• Candidates must have completed the complete education (Matric till MA/MSc/BS) a regular student.

Gender: Male

Marital Status: Married/Unmarried

Nationality: Only the citizens of Pakistan and domicile holders of Azad Kashmir are eligible. 

The candidates must have to surrender the dual nationality other than Pakistan upon final selection.

Physical Standards:

Minimum Height: 5’4’’ (162.5 cm)

Weight: As per the Body Mass Index

Ineligibility Conditions:

• Permanently declared UNFIT by Appeal Medical Board.
• Declared medically unfit due to Hepatitis B & C (Appeal Medical Board cannot be requested).
• Medically certified by and Armed Forces Hospital except those authorized by the Appeal Medical Board. However, as normal candidates, PAF candidates who become medically unfit for flying but for ground branches may undergo a routine medical examination if they to join other arms.
• Tested within four months (120 days) except for the candidates given a waiver by DGPA from the previous appearance. However, a limit of 120 days will not exceed to candidates appearing in Post Graduate GHQ/NHQ/AHQ based selection boards.
• The candidates who are withdrawn from any Academy/Training Institution of Armed Forces are not eligible.
• Withdrawn from any partnered Armed Forces college/institution on disciplinary grounds.
• Dismissed/removed/debarred from Govt. Services including Armed Forces.
• Convicted in a Court of Law in Criminal Proceedings.

Registration & Preliminary Selection Procedure:

The candidates can register either online or by visiting Army Selection and Recruitment Centers (AS&RCc). The following procedure will be adopted:

Registration through Internet:

• Candidates can register on the website www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk.On the internet, the Date and Time of examination shall be intimated for which the person should have an e-mail account.
• Candidates must report on the exact date and time of the preliminary test mentioned on computerized Roll No. Slip.
• Data, once given, will not be changed.
• Candidates must gain working computer expertise as they will be registered and tested will on computers.

 Registration at AS&RCs:

• Candidates may report with the required documents to the nearest AS&RCs for registration/allotment of the roll number.
• On the day of the test, candidates will also bring these documents.
