To enhance education in Balochistan, AlOU Prof Dr Zia Ul-Qayyum, Vice-Chancellor, AIOU called on Prof Dr Shafiq-ur-Rehman at his office in the University of Balochistan. AIOU VC, chaired a meeting to discuss the matter of promotion of education in Balochistan and eliminating the illiteracy rate from the province. Their main aim is to extend its educational network to the remotest areas of the province so that no one remains deprived of education.
According to the details, the AIOU administration is operating in Balochistan with six regional centres and one Model Study Centre located in different parts of the province. Other than that, the university wants to intend and further expand its outreach system in Balochistan. Therefore, they recently conducted a meeting with various senior representatives to establish regional centres. Moreover, they soon set up a Model Study Centre in Pishin which serve the purpose of providing educational facilities at the doorsteps of the students. To remove the illiteracy rate, the University of Balochistan would provide all possible cooperation to AIOU in helping people of the area getting an education
