The Allama Iqbal Open University opens the online registration portal for Part-Time Tutors or Resource Persons. The university wants experienced and motivated government teachers to apply for AIOU tutors. The AIOU tutors/resource Persons provide educational services to the students online through the Online Learning Management System, Aagahi LMS. So, the government teachers meeting the eligibility criteria can apply for the AIOU tutorship. Below we have explained the complete method and eligibility criteria. However, the last date for the AIOU Tutor registration is 10 October 2022.
AIOU Program Levels for the Tutorship 2022
The Allama Iqbal Open University requires part-time Tutors/Resource Persons for the following Program Levels.
- Matric/SSC
- intermediate/HSSC
- Associate Degrees
- Masters/BS (04 Years)
- B.Ed (1.5, 2.5, & 4 years) and ADE
- Ph.D. & MS/M.Phil
Eligibility Criteria for AIOU Tutors 2022
- Required qualification: At least a master’s degree for the AIOU tutorship. However, for the Ph.D. Programs, applicants must have a Ph.D. degree.
- Applicants should be government/private teachers of BPS-11 to BPS-16 & above.
- For BPS 16 & Above teachers, two years of teaching experience is required.
- For BPS 11 to BPS-15 Teachers, the 03 years of post-qualification teaching experience is required. 03 years of Post Qualification Experience means applicants who have passed their degree before 10 October 2019 and are doing teaching jobs from 2019 after receiving the degree. If their degree date is after 2019, but they have 03 years of teaching experience, those candidates will not be eligible for the tutorship. So, AIOU will count the experience after getting the degree.
- Private teachers must have 05 years post qualification experience.
- M.Phil/Ph.D. Degree holders don’t need teaching experience.
How to Apply for the AIOU Tutors 2022
- The eligible candidates can apply for the AIOU tutors through the online portal (https://tr.aiou.edu.pk/)
- Already registered candidates don’t need to apply again; they can update their profile through the link.
- The processing fee for the tutor application form is Rs 1000/-
