AJK Board:

The AJK Board was established in 1973 by an ordinance issued by the Jammu and Kashmir State Government of Azad Kashmir. Before that, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Lahore, incorporated Azad Kashmir into the regional jurisdiction. This board led the primary assessment in 1974, in which 6161 SSC and HSSC applicants appeared. The extent of their exercises has expanded bit by bit. Forty-eight thousand six hundred seven students included in the Lahore Board’s various evaluation rules and regulations on the law of equality with Punjab. The districts under its jurisdiction are Poonch, Kotli, Mirpur, Muzaffarabad, Bagh, Neelum, and Bhimber.
