APCAA Announced to Reopen Colleges
According to the latest news, All Pakistan College and Academies Association (APCAA) decided to reopen the colleges on 01 January. APCAA Chairman, Rana Ansar, stated that colleges will reopen at the start of next month as it is very necessary.
He stated that due to the long vacations students are already facing educational loss. So, we can’t afford the further loss. He said that due to COVID-19, the institute already remained close for a long time. Now it is impossible to extend the vacations more. ACPAA stated that all the colleges will follow the COVID-19 SOPs properly.
He further stated that due to the holidays, private colleges are also facing a lot of financial problems. On the behalf of private colleges, he requested the government to review its decision about the electrical connections. Rana Ansar asked not to convert electricity connections of private colleges from residential to commercial.
Government Decision
The Federal education minister announced that all institutes will remain closed till 10 January 2021. However, the government will announce the final decision in the first week of January.
