Applications for the Hajj 2022 Opened
The Ministry of Religious Affairs announced the registration for the Hajj 2022 on 01 May 2022. Thus, the Muslims can submit their applications for the Hajj till 13 May 2022. However, the Religious Affairs Minister attended a press conference and provided all possible details regarding the Hajj 2022 registrations.
The minister stated that applicants would deposit the applications with Rs 50,000/- token money to the designated banks. However, the Ministry will announce the total amount for Hajj after conforming it from the Saudi Authorities. According to the estimation, the Hajj cost will be from 0.7M to 1M this year.
The Religious Affairs Ministers further said that this year, Pakistan received a Hajj quota of 81132 pilgrims with a 40% share of the Government scheme and a 60% share of the Private Scheme. However, the minister also mentioned that Hajj expenditure might increase because of the increased taxes and services by the Saudi Government.
At the same time, Minister Shakoor said that Saudi Hajj Ministry gave the deadline till 16 May. However, the applicants will apply online and through banks from 01 May 2022-to 13 May 2022. However, the token money will be deposited from 09-13 May 2022.
Thus, those Pakistanis who want to go for the Hajj this year must submit their applications and token money on time.
