Army Medical College (AMC) or AM College was established in 1977 for undergraduate medical education to selected cadets. Initially AMC college was affiliated with Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad for the award of MBBS degree. Later from 1998 to 2015 it was affiliated with NUST. It is now affiliated with NUMS. NUMS is a Pakistan Army Medical Corps university and has been recommended by HEC of Pakistan.

- Prosthetics and or including crown and bridgework.
- Orthodontia and Radiology
- Operative/Restorative/Conservative Dentistry
- Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Anaesthesia, Forensic Medicine and Toxicology and Medico Dental Ethics and Dental Practice Management.
AMC – Selection Criteria
Eligibility for Admission
The following conditions will govern the eligibility of Candidates for admission to the MBBS/BDS Course:
Educational Qualification
- FSc (Premedical) with 70% marks.
- ‘A’ and ‘0’ level candidates will have to obtain an equivalent certificate from inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC), Ministry of Education, Islamabad.
Physical Standards
- Minimum Height
- Males. 5 ft 4 inch (162.5cm)
- Females. 4ft 8 inch (145 cm)
Visual Standards and Weight
- Should be according to the standards acceptable for the commission in the Army.

AMC is a military institute which is located on Abid Mujeed Road, Rawalpindi. AM College consists of 14 Professors, 14 Associates Professors and 30 Assistant Professors in its faculty staff. The college is one of the best medical colleges not only because of experienced and best teachers but also for the facilities. Extra-curricular activities are also extended to the students to create balance and harmony b/w mind and body. Activities like a drill, physical training, games, debates, drama, computer club/internet, adventure training etc are part of this college.
