The Finance Division published an article in a newspaper regarding the Budget Calendar for 2023-2024. According to the news, the Budget 2023-24 has been issued to the heads of concerned Divisions, Ministries, and Departments. The Finance Division has completed the report and budget circular. According to the Budget calendar, till 31 May 2023, the Finance Division will announce the final date of the Budget 2023-24 and present the summary to the Prime Minister. Ishaq Daar will present the summary to the PM, and at the same time, the Board of Revenue will complete the Finance Bill of 2023-24.

15% to 35% Increase in Salaries
According to the Published article in the newspaper, the coming Budget will be public-friendly. There are chances of 15% to 35% increments in the salaries and pensions of the Civil and Armed Forces employees.
Detailed Budget Calendar 2023-2024
- This week, the Annual Plan Coordination Committee conference in the Planning Division will be held.
- The National Economic Council will approve all developmental programs in the 3rd week of May. PM Shehbaz Shareef will chair the meeting of the National Economic Council.
- The finance division will prepare the access Budget statement this week. However, in the 2nd week of May, the Ministry will finalize the expenses of all developmental budgets.
- On 10 June 2023, Federal Cabinet will give the final acceptability of the budget 2023-24 under the Prime Minister’s Supervision. After that, Ishaw Daar will present the Budget on the same day.
- The Cabinet will approve the Budget Paper Strategy according to the Budget calendar. However, the Finance Ministry is preparing the Budget Paper Strategy for 2023 to 2026.
- On 11 June 2023, the Federal minister, Ishaq Dar, will present the important points of the federal Budget in a conference. However, he will also answer the questions of journalists.
- After the break of two days, on 12/13 June 2023, National Assembly will discuss the new Federal Budget.
