Cambridge new grading system in lieu of May/June exams
Just like other countries, Pakistan has also been under lockdown due to the coronavirus outbreak. The education system has been badly affected by COVID-19. Because of all this, many educational institutes have postponed their academic activities. They tried to cancel the Cambridge exam to prevent students from this deadly virus. The Cambridge Assessment International Education authority conducts a meeting in which they decided to cancel the May June 2020 exams of Cambridge across the world. Uzma Yousuf, who is the director of Cambridge International’s Country, said that Cambridge is introducing two options for finalizing the final exams.
Option A:-
One option is to submit the students’ achievement reports and receive a grade for the May and June 2020 examinations.
Option B:-
While the second option is that schools can traditionally enroll their students to sit in the October and November exams 2020
Will the assessment grades be accepted in Pakistan?
Added more, Cambridge also tried to initiate the new system in which they facilitate their student effortlessly. However, many parents shared their opinion regarding the acceptance of grades on behalf of the academic assessments. Uzma Yousuf has clarified, “The grading system will only be accepted in the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Pakistan, and many other countries of the world.”
Many students are attending academies and tuitions, but it is impossible to obtain the result of their year-long performance. So, she gives the right to the student to select the subjects of their choice in the October and November exam.
