Protest Against the Cancellation of A and O Level Exams
A few days ago, a number of students staged a protest in Lahore outside the Governor House. The purpose of the rally was to cancel the A and O Level exams in Pakistan. Thus, now the students have ended the protest after the meeting with the Higher Education minister of Punjab.
During the meeting, the minister assured students that he would raise this issue in the NCOC meeting held on Tuesday. Thus, after the satisfaction, students agreed with the Higher Education Minister and went for the homes.
Before this, Cambridge stated that the exams of the O-Levels would be from the 15 May. However, the A-Level exams will be according to the schedule. Thus, after these statements, students started to protest, and they said that due to pandemics, they would not be able to complete their syllabus. Then, how can they appear in the exams without preparation?
Now, the education minister and NCOC will make the final decision regarding the exams and opening of the schools.
