Federal Government Announced to Reopen the Schools from 15 September


On 05 August 2020, all education ministers held a meeting regarding opening the schools in September. Shafqat Mahmood, the federal Minister of Education, chaired the meeting and decided to reopen the schools on 15 September. 

In his tweet, Murad Raas said that 15 September 2020 is a tentative date depending on the COVID-19 situation. He also said that other than this, all news is fake.

According to news, a minister of KPK suggested opening the schools from 01 September 2020, but all other members opposed it. 

The education minister also decided that the schools’ administration will come to the schools before 15 September 2020. The school administration will also receive the training for the implementation of SOPs.

There is various news regarding the opening to schools, but Murad Raas denied all news. He said that 15 September is a tentative date.

SOPs for Reopening Schools:

There is also news that according to the SOPs, only three subjects (English, Maths, and Science) will teach in the schools. Schools will not allow more than 20 students in a classroom. 

The government advised school administrations to follow the SOPs strictly for the safety of students and whole staff members.
