The Federal Government made a statement regarding turning the Army Public School into a University. If the school turned into a university, then it would be renamed as Shuhada APS University, Peshawar. The government thought about it to give a tribute to the Martyrs of APS in 2014. Thus, the Judicial Commission (JC) made various recommendations about it.
Other than this, the federal government is thinking to add the APS 2014 attack in the curriculum. The reason for this decision is to tell the young generation about this heart-breaking news and enlighten them with the great sacrifice of the APS martyrs.
To pay a tribute, the government also decided to take various other initiatives according to the Judicial Commission’s recommendation. Before this, a lot of schools, parks, and roads, etc renamed on the APS Martyred students and teachers.
To assist the APS Victims, the government made special compensation packages. The government also announced free education for the victims’ siblings in cadet & Military Colleges. Other than that for the martyred siblings, the government announced the special quota in universities. Such as:
- Two seats in the University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Peshawar
- two seats in Khyber Medical University Peshawar for martyred siblings.
