On 07 September 2020, the meeting of interprovincial Education ministers held to resolve the issue of reopening the schools. In the meeting, all education ministers participated and decided to open the institute from 15 September 2020. The ministers of AJK and Gilgit Baltistan also attended the meeting.
From 15 September 2020, only colleges and universities will open by following the SOPs. The government instructed the institutes to implement the SOPs strictly. While regarding the school classes, the final decision is still pending. A few days ago, the Sindh education minister suggested opening the schools in 03 phases.
Decisions for schools:
There is a possibility that the government might reopen the school for middle classes from 22 September 2020. The suggestion has sent to the NCOC as NCOC will finalize this matter.
About primary classes, there is not any decision was taken in the meeting. But there is news that primary classes (pre-nursery to grade 05) would be able to come to the school on 30 September 2020.
Now, everyone is waiting for the NCOC final decision regarding the schools. Hopefully, NCOC will finalize the decision soon with mutual discussion and the PM will announce the Final dates.
