Fsc Pre-Medical students can now apply for BS Computing Programs.
After consultation with the education authority on Friday, Dr. Ayub Alvi, the chairperson of the National Computing Education and Accreditation Council (NCEAC) has finally decided that medical students can take admission in BS Computer science and Information technology degree program. The students who got 50% marks with mathematics in Intermediate exams were able to enroll in BS CS or IT programs.
A few months ago, the Vice-Chancellor of Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University, Dr. Qasim Sheikh, raised his voice’s attention to this issue. He tried many times to implement their idea with strong arguments. He thought that computer science itself is the fastest growing technology, and now he is trying to extend its scope in medicine and related disciplines. After a few weeks, NCEAC also issued the notification and allowed pre-medical background students to get admission in BS Computing Programs. Moreover, they also add two more courses of Mathematics in pre-qualification. The result of these additional courses will be recorded on their transcripts.
