The government of Pakistan tries its best to facilitate its people by bringing amazing opportunities. Like all other countries, Pakistan will also launch its first National Emergency helpline in the next month. Moreover, PEHL formally launched by Prime Minister Imran Khan. The PM directed the PM Delivery Unit (PMDU) to set up a national emergency helpline following the Gujjarpura motorway incident in September last year. The main purpose of launching this is to enable police and rescue departments to trace and timely reach the location of the people in an emergency.
In the latest press conference, Adil Saeed, the PMDU’s Chief and Focal Person for PEHL, said that all modalities were finalized after taking all provinces on board to establish the first national emergency helpline. We facilitate our people by launching this helpline. You can dial this helpline number not only from a landline number but also from your mobile phone as well. No matter from which city you belong. In case of out of the country, you can avail of different emergency service numbers as well.
The Ministry of Interior will supervise the PEHL, conduct the meeting with NCOC, and establish the regional offices of the PEHL in Islamabad. Moreover, this helpline will run by trained, active, and qualified operators at both head and regional offices. The amazing feature of this helpline is that it shows red light, which will give the alarm. In addition to that, PEHL’s mobile application launched soon.
