Govt Announces New Office Timings With 6 Working Days

The latest notification is to inform you all that the government of Pakistan has reduced the office timing for federally administered public departments across the country. All federal government offices will work six days a week, with Friday being a half day. In the notification, they also issued a detailed timing schedule valid for all government employees. The government officers will now follow this schedule. The offices will operate from 08:00 AM to 03:00 PM from Monday to Thursday, and Saturday, with a 30-minute prayer break from 01:00 PM to 01:30 PM. On Fridays, the offices will operate till 01:00 PM.

All public institutions under the federal government will continue to observe the mentioned office timings unless modified. In the previous days, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif had abolished Saturday as a weekly holiday and revised the office hours for all federal government offices and institutions. Due to this decision, most employees protest the decision again, even during Ramadan.
