Pass All Intermediate and Matric Students
In the recent Interprovincial Education Ministers Committee Meeting, the committee decided to pass all intermediate and matric (Part-II) students. The IPEMC meeting was on 13 September 2021 under the chairmanship of Federal education Minister Shafqat Mahmood. After the meeting, Shafqat Mahmood announced all decisions in a press conferenced taken during the meeting. Below is the decision about the intermediate and matric students.
No Supplementary Exams 2021
Due to the COVID-19 condition, the government announced that it is impossible to take supplementary exams after few days of the result. The final exams of the 12th and 10th classes were conducted a few months ago so that the government will pass all students with grace marks. It means that if a student secures failing marks in a subject, the board will give them 33 grace marks and pass them. So, this year, all 12th and 10th class students will pass.
Academic Year 2022
During the press conference, Shafqat Mahmood also talked about the following matric exams and academic session 2022. He stated that govt will take the next board exams in May-June while the academic session will start in August 2022. So, all education ministers decided to complete the syllabus till April-May, and the next exam will be from the complete syllabus instead of the reduced syllabus.
Other than that, the A and O-Levels exams will be according to the schedule. However, Universities will make their schedules for exams.
Exams 2022
The Education Minister also announced that we would take intermediate and matric exams twice a year from the next year. However, that exams will not be supplementary exams.
Reopening of Institutes
During the press conference, Shafqat Mahmood announced to reopen the institutes as soon as possible. He said that the COVID-19 vaccination had been done in education sectors and institutes so, schools must open soon. At the same time, the government also announced the vaccination for 15-18 years children. However, these students will get Pfizer vaccines.
