The Higher Education Commission (HEC) announced the inter-University Essay Writing Competition 2022. HEC will hold the Essay Competition with the collaboration of the Ministry of Planning Development and Special initiatives. Howvere, the regular students of the university can participate in the essay writing competition and win prizes. Students can choose any language from English or Urdu to write essays on the given topics. It’s a great chance for the students to show their writing skills and win a national award. The eligible students must submit the essays fulfilling all requirements by 26 August 2022.
Topics for HEC Essay writing Competitions 2022
The students will choose any of the following topics in English or Urdu.
English Essay Topics
- Development Journey of Pakistan from 1947 to 2022; Lessons Learnt viz-a-viz Other Countries
- Pakistan at 2047: National Youth Aspirations
Urdu Essay Topics
(۱) پاکستان کی ترقی کا سفر (۱۹۴۷ تا ۲۰۲۲): ترقی پذیر ممالک سے تقابلی جائزہ
(۲) کا پاکستان : نسل نو کی امنگی۲۰۴۷
Eligibility Criteria for the HEC Essay Writing Competition 2022
- Applicants must be regular students.
- Candidates should have AJK or Pakistani candidates
- Age limit: 25 Years
Prizes for HEC Essay Writing Competition 2022 (English/Urdu)
- 1st Position Rs. 500,000
- 2nd Position Rs. 300,000
- 3rd Position Rs. 200,000
- 4th -10th Position Rs. 100,000 (each)
Essays format and Details
- Applicants must write an essay of 2500-3000 words on the chosen topics in English/Urdu.
- English Essay: Typed in ‘Times New Roman,’ Font size 12, Line spacing 1.5, and Convert it to the PDF file.
- Urdu Essay: Typed and converted to pdf file

- Email the written essay on the topic in the PDF file with the registration form to the email address: meshahzad@hec.gov.pk
- Download the registration form through the HEC website.
- Send the hard copies of all documents to the given address.
