The Higher Education Commission (HEC) advertised the Law Graduate Assessment Test (GAT) 2022 registration dates. The LAW-GAT test is also compulsory for LLB candidates (Law graduates) who want to practice law as an advocate. Thus, after passing the LAW-GAT, candidates can apply for the advocate to a Bar Council. Thus, eligible candidates must submit the online application by visiting the HEC ETC portal. Law- GAT 2022
Law-GAT is mandatory to pass to apply for an advocate in Pakistan Bar Council (PBC). However, PBC over-handed the authority to conduct the LAE-GAT test to the HEC. So, HEC LAW-GAT is an MCQ-based paper, and applicants must secure 50% marks to pass the test. However, an applicant can attempt the Law-GAT test three times.
Eligibility Criteria for the LAW-GAT 2022
Candidates who have passed the bachelor’s Degree in LAW or equivalent from the HEC/PBC recognized institutes are eligible for the LAW-GAT.
Test Date and Examination Centers of LAW-GAT 2022
HEC will conduct the LAW-GAT in 14 cities of Pakistan on 03 July 2022 (Tentatively). Thus, candidates will select one of the following cities according to choice.
Candidates can select any city of their choice, but each centre has a capacity of only 100 applicants. If a centre already has 100 applicants, candidates must select any other centre mentioned above.
