HEC Latest news Regarding Universities
On 26 October 2020, The Higher Education Commission proved all false statements regarding the closure of universities wrong. HEC stated that the commission had not given any order of the universities’ closure due to COVID-19. These statements and news are just a piece of fake news.
In the tweet, HEC said that all institutes would operate within the issued guidelines and SOPs of the COVID0-19. An educational institute will decide to close it according to its specific condition; otherwise, all institutes will remain open.

The Higher Education Commission also stated that in the case of high or rapidly increasing cases, the district administration could close the institute.
HEC Guidelines
The Higher Education Commission provides all detailed guidelines for the COVID-19. HEC issued the guidelines for the institutes’ administration, faculty, and staff as well as for students separately. According to news, the number of COVID-19 positive patients is increasing day by day. Until yesterday, 707 new cases appeared within 24 hours.
