HEC Denied the Extension of 02-year Degrees

According to the recent news, HEC is still on its decision to abolish the 02-year bachelors and masters degrees. HEC gave this statement to a news channel after the statement of the VC of the University of Peshawar.

A few weeks ago, the Vice-chancellor of Peshawar University stated that the HEC agreed to continue the 02-year degrees. Now, students will be able to get enrolled in bachelors and masters degrees till 2022. 

Thus, after this, the Spokesperson of HEC clarified the situation and denied the VC’s statement. So, till now, the notification of HEC in November 2020 about banning the two-year degrees is valid. 

Other than that, HEC Regional Director Karachi also gave the same statement and verified the HEC Spokesperson sayings.  However, he also asked the universities to give a helping hand to the colleges to eliminate the difficulties in four-year degrees.
