HEC Provided Great Relief To M.Phil/MS/ Equivalent Scholars

HEC notification for M.Phil/MS/ Equivalent Scholars

The Higher Education Commission issued a notification regarding the duration of MS/M.Phil Degree on 12 October 2020. HEC published the statement under the subject “ Minimum and Maximum Duration of MS/M.Phil/Equivalent.”

According to the notification, the government decided to extend the ongoing MS/M.Phill session up to the next year. The reason is that due to COVID-19, students were unable to complete their last two-semester (research period). This thing impacts their studies a lot, and they can’t complete their research.

Thus, HEC allowed the student to continue their research and submit the thesis next year under all these circumstances. Remember that this instruction is only for the students of sessions 2018-2020. On the notification, HEC mentioned that this decision is only for the current year students.

HEC also sent copies of all concerned departments and orders the VCs to implement this decision. So that student can complete their work correctly without any burden.

Now, MS/M.Phill/Equivalent students have time, so they must use it constructively without wasting it.
