On 15 January 2021, the higher education Department published a notification having the instructions about the reopening of schools. According to the notice, the government reopening of institutes were taken in the inter-provincial meeting on 04 January 2021. All provinces’ educational ministers attended the meeting. However, on 15 January, the government finalized the previously announced schedule.
Instructions
HED announced the following instructions with the reference of notification on 5 January 2021. Thus, the institutes in Punjab will follow the following directions.
- Students will come to the schools on alternative days. It means 50% of students will come on one day and remaining on another day.
- The annual exams 2021 of intermediate and matric will be in MAy/June 2021
- Public schools will continue the previous Accelerated Learning Program (ALP). However, Punjab Examination Commission will announce the exam criteria and schedule of the 5th and 8th classes later.
- All the concerned departments and authorities will take care of SOPs in their respective district and will strictly implement them.
The HED has sent copies of this notification to all concerned departments.
