Recently, Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) issued a notification to exempt the compulsory subjects. The IBCC stated that all boards across the country conducted the SSC/HSSC exams only for the elective subjects this year. According to the announced policy, the board did this and declared the result of compulsory subjects based on the elective subjects marks. IBCC decided on a uniform policy for the GCE, O and A Levels subject to notification of their elective subjects.
Through this uniform policy, foreign qualifications such as MYP and Grade 10 high school diplomas issued by accredited US Institutes will also get the benefit. Thus, for the GCE, O Levels May/June 2021 session, Compulsory subjects, Urdu/Islamiat/Pak Studies, are exempted.
