The institute allowed 11 Afghani students studying there to stay so that they could continue their studies. However, IIT also announced to give them scholarships and accommodation.
The IIT Bombay Director stated that they could postpone/defer their admission if they can’t resume their studies this year. However, he also said that due to COVID-19, 09 students had already gone to Afghanistan. Only 02 students are staying in IIT Bombay. At the same time, the Kabul airport has closed. So, the question is, how will the remaining 09 Afghani students be able to come back to the IIT to resume their studies.
