Inter-Provincial Education Minister Meeting
According to news, a meeting of all educational ministers of all provinces will be on 05 November 2020. The Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood will chair the meeting. While the ministers of education of all provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan, and AJK will attend the meeting online.
Purpose of Meeting
In the meeting, the education ministers will review the ongoing situation of COVID-19 as well as discuss the winter vacations. The extension of the academic year up to August instead of Aril is also the purpose of this meeting.
Other than that, the decision regarding the eight class annual exams will also discuss in the meeting. Ministers will decide to take the Board exams of 8th class or not. The decision about the winter holidays will also be taken during the inter-provincial Education Ministers Meeting.
In the latest tweet of Shafqat Mahmood, he denied all false news regarding the closure of schools due to COVID-19. He said that the government didn’t take any decision on this issue.
